Telford & Wrekin Council has to identify a future supply of land which is suitable, available and achievable for economic development, housing and other uses, for example renewable energy and leisure developments. It is the Council’s priority to identify land for employment development.
We are inviting land owners to submit sites (parcels of land), within the borough, which may be suitable for future development.
If you would like to submit a site which you deem suitable for development, please complete our online submission form and attach a map clearly showing the site boundary.
We will assess all site submissions, consider the location, potential constraints and uses on each site. To be included within the Call for Sites potential sites should be at least 0.25 hectares in size or capable of providing at least 5 homes. The Call for Sites does not guarantee that the Council will support or allocate the site for development.
The results will be published in the Strategic Housing and Economic Land Availability Assessment and provide an evidence base of potential sites to inform future planning policy work in the borough including the review of the Telford & Wrekin Local Plan.
This is a new exercise and will replace information gathered as part of the 2012 Call for Sites, land owners will need to re-submit their sites for consideration.
The deadline for submissions is now extended to 8 January 2021.
