Referendum

A Referendum relating to the Lilleshall Parish Neighbourhood Plan was held on Thursday 15 November 2018.

The question which was asked in the Referendum is:

"Do you want the Borough of Telford and Wrekin to use the neighbourhood plan for Lilleshall to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?".

The count took place on Thursday 15 November 2018 and 80.5% of those who voted were in favour of the Plan being used to help decide planning applications in the plan area. A report is being prepared for the 13 December 2018 Cabinet meeting seeking to have the Lilleshall Parish Neighbourhood Plan "made".

Lilleshall Parish Neighbourhood Plan Submission

Lilleshall Parish Council has prepared a Neighbourhood Plan (NP) for Lilleshall neighbourhood area in accordance with Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012. Lilleshall Parish Council has submitted their NP to Telford & Wrekin Council for publication and formal consultation before it is independently examined. The Lilleshall Parish NP is accompanied by supporting documents including a Basic Conditions Statement and a Consultation Statement.

The Lilleshall Parish NP establishes a long term view for the Lilleshall area and help deliver the local community's aspirations and needs for the plan period 2017 - 2031. It sets out a number of key objectives and planning policies which the Lilleshall Parish Council wishes to be used to help determine planning applications in the Lilleshall area.

As required by Regulation 16 of the Neighbourhood Planning regulations 2012, the Council is inviting representations on the submission version of the Lilleshall Parish NP. The consultation will run for a period of 6 weeks, starting from 10 April 2018 until 5pm on 29 May 2018.

Supplementary Consultation

Lilleshall Parish Council has commenced a supplementary consultation to its Neighbourhood Plan (Download the Neighbourhood Plan (.pdf Size: 2441Kb) ). The consultation began on Wednesday 8 November 2017 and will close at 5pm on Tuesday 5 December 2017.

This important period within the process to develop a Neighbourhood Plan for Lilleshall Parish began on Wednesday 24 May 2017 and lasted for a period of six weeks, closing at 5pm on Friday 14 July 2017.

Designation of neighbourhood

The first formal step in the process is to designate a neighbourhood area and define the proposed boundary covered by a plan. In March 2016 Lilleshall Parish Council applied for the designation of the neighbourhood area, the proposed boundary being the whole of the parish boundary area.

A six week consultation began on 7 April 2016 until 20 May 2016 and Telford & Wrekin Council approved the designation in June 2016.
