The Government announced in the October 2026 Budget that a £100 Household Energy Payment will be provided to households in Council Tax Bands A to D. Payments are expected to be made by the Council during January 2027.

If you pay by Direct Debit

If you currently pay your Council Tax by Direct Debit, your payment will be made automatically to the bank account used for your Direct Debit. These payments will be prioritised and issued first.

If you do not currently pay by Direct Debit, you can sign up now by completing our Direct Debit application form.

If you do not pay by Direct Debit

If you are eligible but do not pay by Direct Debit, you will need to submit an application form before payment can be made. As part of the application process, you will be asked to provide evidence to verify your bank account details.
