Ecological Data Services (EDS)

EDS provides information on species, habitats and locally protected sites across Telford and Wrekin and Shropshire.

Some species data held by Shropshire and Telford Environmental Records Centre (STERC) can be accessed through the National Biodiversity Network (NBN) gateway.

Telford Ecological Data Services (TEDS) can provide data search reports across Telford and Wrekin and Shropshire

Searches we can provide:

• commercial data reports within ten working days of confirmation of payment, or five working days via our fast track service with an extra charge of £100 (plus VAT)
   

• data searches from a grid reference point, linear feature or site boundary
   

• free data search report for charities, researchers and students.

Please note to help us process your request, searches for linear features or site boundaries should be submitted with a complete shapefile dataset (usually five to eight files). Please email these files to teds@telford.gov.uk.

If a complete shapefile is not available, an additional £50 plus VAT will be added to the standard fee to cover the extra officer time needed to extract and prepare the information.

Option one

Priority and protected species and non-statutory designated sites:

• 1km - £135 plus VAT = £162 total

• 2km - £170 plus VAT = £204 total

• 5km - £245 plus VAT = £294 total.

Option two

Single or two species search:

• 1km - £90 plus VAT = £108 total

• 2km - £135 plus VAT = £162 total 

• 5km - £170 plus VAT = £204 total.

Option three

Desk study (priority and protected species, statutory and non-statutory designated sites, ancient woodland sites and priority habitats:

• 1km - £245 plus VAT = £294 total

• 2km - £265 plus VAT = £318 total

• 5km - £290 plus VAT = £348 total.

Bespoke search.
