Clear polythene bagImportant information:

Light bulbs and batteries: -

These must be placed inside a clear plastic bag only.

  • do not put light bulbs, batteries in the same bag, they must be separated
  • place your clear polythene bag with batteries or lightbulbs on top of your purple top bin for collection so they are clearly visible to the collection crew
  • please do not tie the bag to the bin lid

Textiles:-

  • you can use either clear sacks, carrier bags or opaque bin liners, please present the bags of textiles next to your purple top bin.
  • do not use black sacks as this is associated with refuse and if the crew can't see what is inside the bag, they may not be able to take them.
  • do not put any textiles in charity bags, we are not able to take these as they become the property of the charity
