Overview

The Wellbeing and Intensive Support Hub (WISH) is a team that helps children, young people and families when they need extra support.

We work together to:

•    Support emotional wellbeing
•    Help families through difficult times
•    Work with professionals to make sure children get the right help

Who we are

I am a senior leader who guides how support is delivered, helping make sure children and families receive the right help at the right time.

I am a senior practitioner who leads how the team works, helping everyone provide thoughtful, relationship-based support.

We support staff to learn, improve and make sure children and families get the best possible support.

We are experienced social workers who support other staff and help make sure children and families get the best possible support.

We support new social workers in their first year, helping them learn, build confidence and provide safe, high-quality support to children and families.

We help children, young people and families by looking at the whole picture — including relationships, family life and what’s happening around them — so they can work together to make positive changes.

We help children and young people understand their life story, talk about their experiences, and make sense of their journey.

We support children, young people and families to understand feelings and work through challenges together.

We support parents and carers with advice and practical help, so children and young people can feel safe and supported at home.

We support children, young people and families with mental health and emotional wellbeing.

We bring family/friends and the child’s network together to have a say, share ideas, and make plans that are right for the child.
