Library computers

Important: you need to be a library member to use the computers in Telford & Wrekin Libraries. If you are not a member, it's free to join. Join the library now to get started. 

As a library member, you will have free access to computers in all Telford & Wrekin Libraries.

Library staff are trained to help get you started and can assist with quick and basic problems. If you need more advanced help, view information on our computer training courses and safety advice.

Getting started

Once you have joined the library, you just need to bring some proof of identification with you (for example bank card, passport), and agree to our Acceptable Use Policy.

You can use the computers whenever the libraries are open, until 15 minutes before closing time. 

Please note: there is a limit of two people at each computer, unless it is for family use (for example an adult with up to three children).

Do I need to book a computer in advance?

No you don't need to book. The computers are available on a drop-in basis, however, demand is high so it is advisable to book in advance, you can do this in person or by telephone.

Please note: if you are more than 10 minutes late for your booking, the computer will be made available to someone else.

Do Telford and Wrekin Libraries have free Wi-Fi? 

We now offer free Wi-Fi in seven of our libraries, all you need to get started is your library card number and pin. Wi-Fi is available in the following libraries:

Printing, saving and scanning

If you need to use the scanner please inform the Library team when you book a computer. Paper is supplied and you are unable to use your own paper in our printers. You can use your own memory sticks in the computers.
