Snedshill and the Flash

In September 2022, Snedshill and the Flash were identified as a future Local Nature Reserve in the Telford and Wrekin Borough.

The site covers an area of 49 hectares of land in three distinct compartments within Priorslee and St Georges.

Snedshill covers a former mine working location and is comprised of secondary woodland and grassland areas. The Flash covers an extensive area of woodland and grassland and the mature Hangman's pool, the pool has historically been used for angling. The Flash is a god site for bat activity throughout the summer. The final area is Redhill Eco Park with great crested newt pools and pitmounds covering land around Redhill development in St Georges. Reptile, other amphibian and other bird species can be found across all three sites.
