School admission arrangements

Telford & Wrekin Council determines the admission arrangements for community and voluntary controlled schools.

In November 2023, Telford and Wrekin Council updated its admission arrangements following advice from the Office of Schools Adjudicator to provide further clarity on how applications from infant to junior school and children of staff are considered. An updated version of the admission arrangements is available below. 

Schools within the borough that are academies, voluntary aided, catholic, foundation or free schools, have their own oversubscription criteria. The admission arrangements for these schools can be found below:
