How to organise a safe event

We have produced a guide for organisers of fireworks displays to help make them safe.

It covers most types of displays, including; displays where the fireworks are set off by the organisers. These events are often put on by organisations like school parent/teacher associations, sports clubs and by public houses for their customers.

  • Organised firework display
(these events are often put on by organisations like school parent/teacher associations, sports clubs and by public houses for their customers).

  • Larger display
(the guide also covers the larger displays organised by voluntary organisations like the Round Table where professional display operators are used).

If you are having a firework party for family, friends and neighbours, generally you should only need to follow the instructions supplied with the fireworks. Download the safety advice for organising a safe bonfire and firework display (please note: this is only a guide, not a definitive document).
