The black plastic tubs and trays which are collected via the purple top recycling bin are sent to our Material Recycling Facility; at the end of the sorting process these end up in the residual stream which is sent for energy recovery. Veolia are always looking at new ways of recycling waste and therefore we ask residents to present black plastic tubs and trays in the purple top bin in preparation for innovations in the industry that will enable it to be recycled in the future. |
