From 30 August 2024, new licences for approved venues will be valid for four years and we will only offer one type of them. If you currently have a licence with us, it will still be valid, and its existing terms and conditions will continue to apply.
Approved venues can be licensed for a four year period within the borough of Telford & Wrekin through the council Registration Service team to hold secular weddings, civil partnerships, baby namings and renewal of vows ceremonies.
To gain approval, the proprietor or trustee of the venue must apply to us for permission and read our guidance notes carefully before submitting their application. New approvals granted will be valid for four years.
You can apply to renew your licence if it expires within a calendar year.
