Armed Forces Community Outreach Events

Veterans' Cafes 

Veterans' Cafes aim to fill the void caused by isolation and detachment after Service whilst also providing a platform for social interaction and comradery. They also provide an opportuity to offer an early intervention service to those who are experiencing poor emotional and mental health. The Cafes are run by Telford Mind who provide trained staff who are able to signpost veterans to Service, and non-Service, Charities and Groups where necessary. The Cafes are funded by Telford & Wrekin Council.

The Cafes are available on a drop-in basis so there is no need to book:

• Dawley: every second and fourth Monday of the month, 2pm to 4pm, at Dawley House, 22 Burton Street, Dawley, TF4 2ES.
• Madeley: every third Thursday of the month, 5pm to 7pm, at Jubilee House, 74 High Street, Madeley, TF7 5AH.

Both sites are wheelchair accessible and have parking close by.

Veterans' Football Club

Allsports Coaches Coaching Academy (ACCA) in partnership with AFC Telford Uited Foundation run Veterans football sessions each Wednesday from 6pm to 7pm in the Foundation Community Hub and from 7pm to 8pm on the Goalzone - both at AFC Telford United's Football Ground, Watling Street, Wellington, Telford, TF1 2TU. All ages and abilities are welcome.

Tab & Talk

Talk & Talk Sessions, run by Allsports Coaches Coaching Academy run on Thursdays, 7pm to 8pm, for veterans and key workers only and on Saturdays, from 6pm to 7pm, where all the family are welcome. The strarting point is Sky Reach, Telford Park, TF3 4EH. All veterans and fitness levels are very welcome.
