The Armed Forces Community refers to any Serving member of the Army, Navy, Royal Marines or Royal Air Force, including Reservists, veterans, and their families. Telford & Wrekin Council recognise the sacrifices that members of the Armed Forces have made during their time in service and are committed to supporting the Armed Forces community across the Borough. The commitment was cemented through the re-signing of the Armed Forces Covenant in 2020. We've teamed up with other local organisations and by working together we can ensure that help is never far away:

YSS Remember Veterans
YSS enables people who face significant life challenges to feel safe, have the opportunity to thrive and to realise their potential, and we have been doing so for more than thirty years. There are thousands of people in our communities who struggle with life and face what seem to be insurmountable barriers - they are why we exist.
We provide a wide variety of mainly community focused support for people and are often described as the ‘glue’ between those at risk of social isolation and the wider mainstream society.
