Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

The Government provision of free issue PPE to the health and care sector has been extended by up to one year to March 2024, or until the stocks have been depleted; whichever is soonest.

The Government PPE Portal can be used by social care and primary care providers to order and receive free of charge critical Coronavirus (COVID-19) PPE.

The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has partnered with eBay, Clipper Logistics and Royal Mail to develop this service.

Visit the GOV.UK website for information on the free personal protective equipment (PPE) scheme

The Government has created a PPE Portal that can be used by social care and primary care providers to order and receive free of charge critical Coronavirus (COVID-19) PPE.

The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has partnered with eBay, Clipper Logistics and Royal Mail to develop this service.

Orders will be managed in line with Public Health England (PHE) guidance and wider availability from the NHS Supply Chain’s central PPE Logistic operations.

Visit the GOV.UK website for guidance on PPE portal and order limits

For those supporting wider community services that cannot access the PPE portal, you can request an emergency supply of PPE by emailing coronavirus@telford.gov.uk stating the reason PPE is required, the amount needed and a contact name and telephone number. Please note: that the Council’s PPE collection point is open Tuesdays and Thursdays 11am - 12pm.
